It was a beautiful spring
evening in Worden on April 20th for our Friendship Night. Jan
Lambert presided as Worthy Matron.
We were honored to have 19 visitors, 26 members and baby Payton
Jensen attending.
During the meeting we were pleased to present Proficiency
Certificates to 3 of our 4 new members. Those receiving the
certificates were Lacy Capra, Trista Hoffman, and Sarah Dunnihoo. |
 |
After the meeting was
closed, the fun began. Pam Roberts, assisted by Lisa Lile,
Angela Lile and Tammy Jensen, presented a western skit. |
 |
The western skit featured
our own Cowboy in the East, WP Don Shaules. Pictured are
Angela Lile, WP Don Shaules, and Tammy Jensen.
We're not sure if WP Don was embarrassed by the comparison to
Charlie Russell or the 2 dance hall girls who escorted him to the
chair of honor. |
 |
The choir also entertained
with a song.
As was common in the old West, gun fights were sometimes the norm.
And so 5 ladies and 5 gentlemen stood back to back, stepped out 2
steps, turned, and commenced firing their toy pistols. Luckily
no one was seriously injured, unless it was self-inflicted by
laughter. |
 |
The members and visitors
all joined together in signing our State song, "MONTANA".
After the dust settled, we retired to the dining room for some
cowboy grub.
We also raffled off 3 homemade pies and 3 gift baskets. The
money was donated to the Grand Chapter charities. |
